This portrait of Heath Ledger by Vincent Fantauzzo popped into my head while I was thinking into the concept behind cubism and different ways I could use it. Mainly I plan to focus more on the concept behind cubism instead of focusing on the style of putting an image together. Picasso and Braque, the undisputed masters of the cubist movement, would show different perspectives of the subject, whether that was a table or a woman. Well an image such as this is doing the exact same thing concept-wise, just not style-wise. The portrait is supposed to show different aspects of Heath Ledger’s character on a deeper level than done so by Picasso, who showed the different aspects of someone’s appearance.
Giving a full view of the subject physically vs. giving a full view of the subject mentally.
